The bantamweight title will be on the line at Road FC 52. Top contenders Moon Jea-Hoon and Kim Min-Woo face off at the Jangchung Arena on February 23rd with the vacant strap up for grabs.

Jea-Hoon (11-12) is coming off back to back losses in Japan and hasn’t won a fight since 2017. However he did beat Kai Asakura at Road FC 39 in a major upset, although that loss would be avenged at Rizin 14.

Min-Woo (8-2) challenged unsuccessfully for the title two years ago. He made his Road FC debut in 2017 but the MMA Story fighter is coming off a prolonged period of inactivity heading into this bout.

The bantamweight title has been vacant since December, 2017. That is when reigning champion Soo Chul Kim sent shockwaves through Korean MMA by announcing his retirement from the sport.

As previously announced the Road FC 52 card will be headlined by the lightweight tournament final with $1 million in prize money and a title shot on the line when Shamil Zavurov and Mansour Barnaoui face off in Seoul.

Road FC 52 will also feature a catchweight contest pitting Kim Seung-Yeon against Ki No-Joo while Bruno Miranda and Hong Young-Ki face off in a match between two of the promotion’s top lightweights.

Other fights on the card include a bantamweight bout putting Jang Ik-Hwan against Jang Dae-Young and a catchweight contest between Jung Sang-Jin and Shin Seung-Min.
