Kickboxing icon Jerome Le Banner will make his promotional debut at Road FC 53 on May 18 in Jeju Island.

The 46-year-old multiple time world champion is a known commodity in the martial arts community.

During his time with K-1, he made a name for himself alongside luminaries including Mark Hunt, Remy Bonjaski, Semmy Schilt, and others. He obtained a record of 81-22-2 throughout the years as one of the highest level strikers the world.

He was last seen in action at Heat 44 on March 2 in a special kickboxing bout. His adversary, Jairo Kusunoki, had no answers for the kicking attacks and therefore had his leg pulverized in the second round.

Le Banner (3-3-1) was originally scheduled to make his debut against Chinese powerhouse Lahan Wu as part of the 2018 Openweight Grand Prix last year at Road FC 47 but a knee injury pulled the Frenchman off the card.

The organization has not announced an opponent yet for ‘Geronimo’ but expect another known figure.

Road FC 53 will be headlined by lightweight champion Kwon A-Sol defending his title against Mansour Barnaoui in the finals of the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament.
