Jang Ik Hwan will challenge Kim Min Woo for the bantamweight title at Road FC 56. The event is set for Yeosu on November 9th.

After failing at his first attempt to win the strap against Kim Soo Chul in 2017, Kim (9-2) came back earlier this year and submitted Moon Je Hoon in the first round at Road FC 52 to pick up the vacant title.

His opponent, Jang (8-2), has built himself up through the ranks of the promotion and earned his shot by accumulating an 8-1 record. His only hiccup was against current UFC fighter Heili Alateng and he comes into this clash on a two-fight win streak.

In addition to the bantamweight title, a couple of pivotal middleweight bouts have been announced. Choi Won Jun (4-3) will take on Heat 185lbs champion Henrique Shiguemoto (12-3-1) and Kim Eun Soo (7-5) faces off against Hwang In Su (4-1).

If the pieces fall properly, one of these contenders could meet current titleholder Yang Hae Jun at a future date.

Also, Kim Se-Young (5-3) and Jang Dae Young (5-3) will clash in the featherweight division. While Kim is coming off an impressive victory over MFP featherweight king Evgeniy Ryazanov at Road FC 54, Jang is currently spiraling a two-fight skid.

As previously announced Road FC 56 will be headlined by a lightweight battle between Kwon A Sol (21-11) and Shamil Zavurov (35-6-1). Kim Min Woo versus Jang Ik Hwan will serve as the co-main event of the show.
