Double G FC 2 just got a boost with the addition of Shizuka Sugiyama. The Rizin veteran has been pitted against Korean starlet Jeon Chan-Mi.

Sugiyama (16-6-1) embarked on her professional career in 2008 and competed mostly for the DEEP organization. She accumulated a lot of experience throughout the years and has been battle tested by the likes of UFC flyweight Kim Ji-Yeon and former WIBA featherweight champ Raika Emiko.

Her last appearance in the ring was at Rizin Heisei’s Last Yarennoka! in a rematch against Kana Watanabe. In the first fight, one year prior, Watanabe pulled off the win on the judge’s scorecards but this time around she only needed eleven seconds to get the technical knockout with a solid right hook.

The 32-year-old Reversal Gym representative is now set to compete exactly three months later in Korea against Jeon (5-2) in a flyweight contest. The Korean will make her return for the first time since being cut by the UFC last year after going winless in her short stint with the promotion.

In the main event, UFC veteran Lim Hyun-Gyu will take on TFC middleweight champion Kim Jae-Young in a highly anticipated matchup. The co-headliner sees Yang Dongi clash with former Heat champ Cally Gibrainn de Oliveira at heavyweight.

Double G FC 2 will take place on March 30 in Seoul at JangChung Arena.
