Tenshin Nasukawa has a new opponent at Rizin 16. The Japanese stand up star is slated to face Martin Blanco in a kickboxing bout that will have the ISKA featherweight title on the line.

The promotion announced the bout via Twitter:

Tenshin had initially been scheduled to face Ahmed Ferradji in Kobe on June 2nd. However the French fighter has been removed from the card for reasons which remain unclear and in his place steps Blanco.

The little known Argentinian is a veteran of 43 fights and has won a handful of national kickboxing titles. Blanco will be moving up in weight for this match, having spent most of his career competing at 54kgs.

The event will be headlined by a super atomweight title between Ayaka Hamasaki and Jinh Yu Frey. Meanwhile two of Japan’s top female fighters will also go head to head when Kanna Asakura takes on Miyuu Yamamoto in a catchweight contest.

One fighter who won’t be featuring on the Rizin 16 card is Kyoji Horiguchi who challenges Darrion Caldwell for the bantamweight title in a rematch at Bellator 222.
