Brave 21 set for Saudi Arabia on December 28th
December looks set to be a busy month for Bahrain based promotion Brave CF. In addition to upcoming events already confirmed for South Africa and India a show in Saudi Arabia has just been added to the 2018 schedule.
Brave 21 will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Indoor Sports Hall in Jeddah on December 28th. The 10,000 capacity venue recently played host to the WBSS super middleweight final between George Groves and Callum Smith while the stadium itself hosted a WWE event earlier this year.
In an interview published by Arab News earlier this year Brave CEO Mohammed Shahid explained why Saudi Arabi was a key market.
“Having a promotion that is born in Bahrain and considering the country’s relationship with Saudi Arabia, taking Brave Combat Federation to the Kingdom is something we’ve always wished to do. It’s amazing to announce that we will finally be there this December. It was a priority for us to make sure we serve the Saudi market and we have managed to now do that.”
Brave CF will also be heading to the Philippines in 2019. Reigning bantamweight champion Stephen Loman is Filipino and he looks set to make the third defence of his bantamweight title on the promotion’s first ever Manila card in the new year.
The story of the Philippines in Brave CF goes beyond the cage.
