Alyona Rassohyna is back in training. The Ukrainian is one of only two fighters to ever defeat Stamp Fairtex and has been out of action for over two years having given birth to her third child.
The other fighter to defeat Stamp is Angela Lee. She did it in her first fight back after pregnancy and it looks like Rassohyna might be on a similar sort of mission.
The 33 year old was last seen at ONE: ‘Empower’ where she rematched Stamp. The Thai won by split decision and there was a lot of debate about the scoring:

High debate
There was even more debate over Rassohyna’s first victory over Stamp. The Thai fighter seemed to be on course for a routine decision victory having clearly got the better of the fight.
With the bell about to sound at the end of the final round she was trapped in a guillotine choke but it didn’t look tight. For some reason Stamp tapped, it seemed she might have been under the impression the fight was already over.
That Thai fighter was very upset and was adamant she didn’t tap. But the replays showed otherwise and Rassohyna was handed a slightly bizarre submission win.

Third time
It seems that Rassohyna gave birth to a baby girl in August. Angela Lee returned to action 14 months after giving birth to her daughter and it will be interesting to see what sort of timescale the Ukrainian has in mind.
Having already made successful comebacks after the birth of two children Rassohyna has plenty of experience in this field. She shared a video earlier today of herself grappling and looked sharp:

Different situation
Angela Lee had established herself as the face of ONE Championship when she fell pregnant and was the reigning atomweight champion. Rassohyna’s situation is slightly different because she is not such a big name and is coming off a loss,.
It is very unlikely that Rassohyna would be handed an immediate trilogy fight with Stamp. Their paths have converged since the rematch with the Thai winning five fights out of six and becoming the second ONE Championship atomweight queen.
Meanwhile Rassohyna has been busy giving birth to a baby daughter. The Ukrainian’s two fights with Stamp were both controversial, albeit for completely different reasons, and ONE Championship fans will be hoping to see more of the 33 year old.
