Parts of the US might be freezing cold right now but winter in Hawaii looks a lot warmer. Angela Lee took to Instagram to declare how much she is enjoying this season.

Angela recently returned from a trip to Singapore where her brother and husband were both fighting. The results were mixed with Christian Lee claiming the promotion’s welterweight title while Bruno Pucci suffered a third straight loss.

While Lee is of mixed Korean and Singaporean descent she makes it clear that Hawaii is very much her home:

Waiting in the wings

While Angela relaxes with her family in Singapore a new challenger is waiting patiently in the wings. Seo Hee Ham decided to pull out of a title eliminator with Itsuki Hirata last weekend because the Japanese atomweight missed weight.

That means that Ham is likely to remain the next in line for a shot at Angela’s title, and she has been waiting for a while now. The champion moved up to strawweight to try and win a second belt which has caused a delay.

ONE Championship offered Ham the opportunity to fight Hirata in order to stay active while she waits for the champion to return. But the Korean is clearly the patient type and seems willing to sit on the sidelines for a bit longer rather than risk losing her title shot against a heavier opponent.

Big disappointment

The big disappointment for Angela will have been the sight of husband Bruno Pucci losing. He hasn’t won a fight since 2018 and hasn’t been able to replicate his success as a submission grappler in MMA competition.

But the family wins a lot more than it loses. Christian Lee now holds the promotion’s lightweight and welterweight titles while Victoria Lee has made an undefeated start to her MMA career.

Next in line for a ONE Championship debut looks likely to be younger brother Adrian Lee. he came to Christian’s rescue last weekend when the newly crowned champion was struggling under the weight of his two belts.
