Arjan Bhullar is officially the first fighter of Indian descent to win a world title in MMA. The achievement was corroborated not by the Guinness Book of Records but by the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? quiz show.

The question was posed to a contestant and, according to Bhullar, they got the answer right:

Bhullar represented Canada at the Olympics in 2021 but both his parents are from India. Ritu Phogat, Asha Roka and Gurdarshan Mangat are all on the ONE Championship roster but have never won a title.

Fortunately the contestant knew this and correctly identified Bhullar as the first fighter of Indian descent to win a world mixed martial arts (MMA) title. Getting the correct answer earned her a cool 125,000 rupees (1658 USD).
