Schultz was training at Bang Tao Muay Thai. He currently has an MMA record of 3-1 and scored the third win of his career at Beatdown Promotions 3 in Brisbane in March.
He also has pro boxing experience, with a record of 1-1 and has competed in Muay Thai in Thailand. Efforts are currently underway to raise enough money to return Schultz to Australia.
His medical bills are soaring and had reached the $13,000 mark three days ago. An online fundraiser has been set up and appears to have raised nearly $15,000 USD.

Latest update
The latest update contains feedback from an Australian doctor who suspects that Schultz has a staph infection which is resistant to antibiotics,
Tim has also has had MRSA (antibiotic resistant staph) in the past. It is highly probable he currently has MRSA, hence the likely cause as to why the infection has been spreading.
Schultz is not the first fighter to pick up a staph infection, which are caused by bacteria called staphylococcus. The likes of Robert Whittaker and Kevin Randleman have both suffered from it and you can find the photos on google.
But few fighters can have suffered quite as a badly as Schultz who is in danger of losing his entire leg. Anyone wanting to donate to the Australian can do so via My Cause.
