The first two fights produced fireworks but the third bout between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes was a more drawn out affair. It went the distance with the American defending his belt and claiming a unanimous decision win.
The flyweight title fight headlined ONE Fight Night 10. The event at the 1stBank Centre in Broomfield was the promotion’s first in the US and saw the former UFC flyweight champion facing the top ranked Brazilian contender.
Johnson was switching stance at the start of the fight. He landed a couple of low kicks while the taller Moraes looked to fire off jabs before the American caught a kick and attempted a flying knee.
The two men spent much of the round clinching against the cage and trading knees to the midsection which would be a feature throughout the fight. DJ utilized non stop movement at the start of the second round but there was very little in the way of significant strikes landing.
“Mighty Mouse” got some AIR on that knee ✈️ @MightyMouse

Southpaw stance
At the start of the third round Moraes caught a kick but couldn’t take Johnson down. The American landed a kick to the body from the southpaw stance.
Moraes was briefly on the front foot at the start of the fourth round but Johnson soon seized the centre of the cage. The champion looked to land a jumping knee to the face as blood started to flow from the Brazilian’s mouth.
Johnson landed a solid right hand at the start of the fifth round and was clearly in the ascendancy at this stage. A spinning back kick glanced off his midsection but it was too little too late for the Brazilian.
All three judges scored it for the American who moves up to 25-4-1. Moraes drops to 20-5 and is set to make his next title defence against Kairat Akhmetov who won earlier in the evening.
AND STILL! @MightyMouse 🇺🇸 earns a unanimous decision victory over Adriano Moraes to win the trilogy and retain his ONE Flyweight World Title 🐐

Best of the rest
Stamp Fairtex secured herself a shot at the interim atomweight title with a second round stoppage win over Alyse Anderson. She finished the American with a left kick to the liver after 2:27 of the second round.
Stamp’s reward for that win was a fight with Seo Hee Ham which will have the interim belt on the line. She also picked up a $50,000 USD bonus and improves to 10-2 while Anderson drops to 6-3.
Zebaztian Kadestam (15-7) also picked up a $50,000 USD bonus. The Swedish star was on the receiving end of numerous left hands from Roberto Soldic (20-4-0-1) in the opening round.
But right at the start of the second stanza Kadestam timed a left hook to the body and landed a right elbow upstairs. Soldic never recovered with the finish coming at the 0:45 mark.
