Eduard Folayang made his Muay Thai debut at ONE: ‘X’ and the Filipino didn’t do too badly! He beat Australian legend John Wayne Parr by decision after a wild brawl that produced real fireworks in the third and final round.

Parr is a veteran of over 100 Muay Thai fights but Folayang looked the much faster man right from the get go. There was plenty of respect between the two veterans after the fight:

But for nine minutes the action was furious as Folayang dropped  Parr in the second round to take a potentially unassailable lead on the scorecards. But the Australian came on strong in what would be the final minute of his career.

Parr had already announced he would be retiring after this fight. The veteran nearly secured a fairy tale comeback when he stunned Folayang with a flying knee in the final minute.

Both men traded heavy leather right up until the bell but it was too little too late for the Australian. It was a Muay Thai debut to remember for Folayang while Parr definitely went out on his shield.
