Emi Fujino has a new opponent at Pancrase 308. She had originally been slated to face Nori Date in the semi finals of the strawweight tournament but will now be matched with Brazil’s Edna Oliveira
Reigning Strawweight Queen of Pancrase Viviane Araujo has now signed with the UFC. Four fighters will compete for the vacant belt with Fujino and Oliveira facing off in the first semi final on September 29th.
Fujino (23-11-0-1) is coming off a decision win at Pancrase 304. She has challenged unsuccessfully for titles with numerous promotions and the 38 year old will be desperate to win the tournament and the belt.
Oliveira (7-6-1) dropped a split decision to Raika Emiko at Pancrase 302. The 28 year old made her name on the regional scene in Brazil but is coming off back to back losses.
Among the other bouts confirmed for the card are a flyweight fight pitting Toru Ogawa (11-7) against Rilley Dutro (13-5). Meanwhile Kenichiro Togashi (19-14-5) goes up against Genpei Hayashi (9-8-1) in the lightweight division.
Pancrase 308 is set for Studio Coast and will also feature the finals of three Neo Blood tournaments.
