Toma Mitsuhiro will make the first defence of his featherweight title at Shooto 30th Anniversary Tour in Osaka next month. The 31 year old faces in-form contender Akira Takano.
Mitsuhiro (11-8-2) won the belt by stopping Derricott Yamamoto last year. However he was beaten by Takeshi Inoue in a featherweight non title fight in his most recent contest.
Takano (7-1-2) has not lost a fight since 2014, when he suffered an arm injury. The 37 year old started MMA relatively late in life but will be looking to secure his first title, as well as a contract offer from ONE Championship.
The card at the Edion Arena also featured a flyweight fight between Ryuya Fukuda (9-5-1) and Seigo Kameshima (7-2-2). The latter is riding a six fight winning streak while the former is coming off a loss for Deep.
