Jiri Prochazka has been booked to fight at UFC 251 according to reports. It will be the first time the former Rizin light heavyweight champion has competed inside the octagon.

The Czech fighter has been booked to face Volkan Oezdemir in a European derby according to Brett Okamoto. UFC 251 is set for ‘fight island’ and the location remains undisclosed but multiple reports suggest it will be Abu Dhabi.

Prochazka (26-3-1) fought 12 times in Japan, winning 11 of those bouts. He avenged his only loss during this period, stopping Muhammed Lawal at Rizin 15 to capture the light heavyweight title.

The Czech fighter would only defend the belt once, knocking out CB Dolloway at Rizin 20 last December. He subsequently decided to sign for the UFC.

Oezdemir (17-4) challenged unsuccessfully for the light heavyweight title at UFC 220. The Swiss fighter is coming off back to back wins and is currently ranked at #7.
