Fritz Biagtan will be looking to end what has already been a banner year on a high at ONE Friday Fights 44. He has won two fights out of two at Lumpinee Stadium and has a chance to make it three in a row this week.
The Filipino has been matched with Babar Ali in a flyweight fight. Biagtan is perhaps best known for being engaged to ONE Championship strawweight contender Denice Zamboanga.
Biagtan (6-1) also has an impressive record of his own. His father was a mixed martial artist who fought Mark Sangiao back in the day but the 28 year old has blazed his own train in the sport.
A third win would potentially be enough to secure him a ONE Championship contract. Ali (6-1) has both amateur and professional experience but doesn’t appear to have fought outside of Afghanistan.

Representatives of Team Lakay have been making regular appearances on these events. Last Friday Carlos Alvarez suffered his first loss at Lumpinee after three straight wins.
This week Carlo Bumina-ang (3-0) is back in action. The Filipino will be looking to make it three wins in a row on these cards when he faces Turkey’s Ilyas Dursun (3-0) in a battle between two undefeated bantamweights with identical records.

Best of the rest
There are three MMA fights on this card. The first bout of the evening pits flyweights together with Portugal’s Leandro Gomes (4-1) taking on Turkey’s Milad Huseyini (2-0) in a bout that had originally been booked for ONE Friday Fights 41.
The rest of the card consists exclusively of Muay Thai fights. In the main event Yod-IQ PKSaenchaigym has been matched with Ilyas Musaev, the Russian is making his sixth appearance of the year on this stage.
