Fritz Biagtan left it very late to beat Nurmukhammad Adamkhonov at Lumpinee Stadium on Friday night. There were just four seconds remaining in the fight when he finished the Uzbek.
Early in the opening round Biagtan wobbled his opponent with a right hand and then followed up with a flying knee to the midsection that the crowd at Lumpinee Stadium clearly appreciated.
He landed a sharp elbow on the break and showcased some impressive boxing skills, firing off combinations to the body and head. Adamkhonov stood his ground but was taking a lot of punishment without offering much in return.

In the second round Biagtan picked up the pace and hurt the Uzbek with a hard left hook. Adamkhonov was probably saved by the bell after being dropped and then turtling up while the Filipino fired off punches to the side of his head.
Adamkhonov needed something dramatic to turn the fight around in the final five minutes but made a very slow start to the round. Knowing that he was well ahead on the scorecards Biagtan was content to bide his time and both men got a warning from the referee.
With 45 seconds remaining in the fight both men were issued a yellow card for inactivity. The referee wanted more action and he got it with Biagtan unleashing a left hook followed by a right hook which dropped Adamkhonov.
The Uzbek was face down on the canvass and had clearly had enough with the referee calling off the contest at the 4:56 mark. The only disappointment for Biagtan was that he missed out on a bonus, presumably due to the long period of inactivity.
With the win Biagtan improves to 5-1 and will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his fiancee Denice Zamboanga by becoming a ONE Championship star. His opponent drops to 0-2.
