Gordan Ryan has signed with ONE Championship. The multiple time BJJ world champion is set to make his MMA debut with the promotion.

Chatri Sityodtong took to Twitter to break the news last night:

Ryan is a three time ADCC world champion and a three time IBJJF no gi world champion. He was awarded his black belt by Garry Tonon, who also fights for ONE Championship, in 2016.

The 25 year old normally competes at around 218lbs and it remains to be seen whether he will be a light heavyweight or a heavyweight in his MMA career. This weekend he will be competing in no gi grappling, he has a super fight with Vagner Rocha in Austin.

Although Ryan has never competed in MMA he has beaten some notable mixed martial artists during his grappling career. The American holds wins over Gabriel Gonzaga, Rousimar Palhares, Garry Tonon, Gregor Gracie and Josh Barnett.
