After being signed by the organization earlier this year, ‘Korean Zombie’ protegee Hong Jun-Young finally has an opponent for his Double G debut.
Double G 3 will take place on October 5th at the K Hotel in Seoul and Hong will face Azizbek Satibaldiev in a featherweight clash in the main event of the night.
Hong has won five out of his last six fights and is coming off a majority decision win over Byung Hee Lim at Annihilation 1. His only loss in that span came to Jo Sung-Bin in a fight for the TFC interim featherweight title in early 2018.
Since then, he has reeled off two wins over sub par competition to take his record to 9-5 but this battle represents a true test for the featherweight prospect.
Satibaldiev, 23-year-old, comes in with a record of 15-7 with eight knockouts and four submissions to his name. The current RFCH featherweight champion has won five straight which is the longest streak of his career.
The 29-year-old Zombie MMA representative is a well-known commodity in the regional scene and will be hoping a win over an impressive Kyrgyzstani opponent might earn him a UFC contract and a spot on the upcoming Busan card.
The promotion has yet to announce any more news on the event but anticipates them to release some matchups in the coming weeks.
