Itsuki Hirata got all dressed up for Halloween! The Japanese atomweight donned a sexy costume and headed off to a party, or at least we assume that is what she was doing.
Itsuki appears to be going for ‘sexy’ rather than ‘scary’ with this costume. She is dressed up like a Playboy bunny and Hugh Heffner would doubtless approve.

Criticism and abuse
It looks unlikely that Hirata will get to fight again before the end of the year. She will surely look back on 2023 with mixed feelings having failed to win a single fight.
She did at least manage to make weight ahead of her title eliminator with Seo Hee Ham at ONE Fight Night 8. That it something that Hirata has failed to do on several occasions.
Her most notable miss came ahead of ONE 163 and Ham refused to fight her as a result. Hirata came in for a lot of online criticism and abuse after that match was called off.
Even her opponent looked relieved when she made weight ahead of ONE Fight Night 8. Having proved she could still compete as an atomweight Hirata did not look like she was ready to face off against the division’s elite, putting on a disappointing performance.

Next step
It is not clear what the next step will be for Hirata. With two losses from her last three fights she is definitely not in the atomweight title picture but the 24 year old remains a fan favourite.
She still has plenty of time to turn her career around and will be looking to compete more regularly in 2024. Fans don’t know when they will next be seeing Hirata inside a ring or a cage but at least they have these sexy Halloween snaps to enjoy while they wait.
