Javid Basharat will make his UFC debut on March 12th. Having earned a contract with the promotion on the back of an impressive performance at Dana White’s Contender Series he has been matched with Trevin Jones in his first fight.

The event is set for the Apex Centre in Las Vegas on March 12th (local time) although it doesn’t have a name or a confirmed venue at present. There are three fights on the card including the bantamweight bout between Basharat and Jones.

Basharat (11-0) was insulted by Oron Kahlon at the weigh ins before DWCS. The Israeli called him a terrorist but he got his revenge, punishing him for three rounds before submitting him with a guillotine choke in the final minute of the fight.

Jones (13-7) has won one out of his three UFC fights although he did see an impressive win retrospectively changed to a no contest because he tested positive for marijuana. None of the Guam native’s bouts inside the octagon has gone the distance.

The event looks set to be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Thiago Santos (22-9) and Magomed Ankalaev (16-1). In the bantamweight division Guido Cannetti (8-6) faces Kris Moutinho (9-5).
