If new signing Stephen Loman was hoping for an easy start to life with ONE Championship he is not going to get it. The Brave bantamweight champion has been matched with John Lineker at ONE on TNT Part IV.
Brazilian journalist Guilherme Cruz broke the news on Twitter just now. The event is being broadcast live on TNT in the US and represents ONE Championship’s first real assault on the lucrative America market.
Loman (14-2) is riding an eight fight winning streak that includes wins over current ONE Championship fighters Gary Mangat and Mark Abelardo. He represents Team Lakay and has not lost a fight since 2016.
Lineker (33-9) stopped Loman’s team mate Kevin Belingon at ONE: ‘Inside the Matrix’ Part III last November. He is currently ranked #1 giving this the look and feel of a title eliminator, which bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes will be keeping a close eye on.
As previously announced Shinya Aoki will be back in action at ONE on TNT Part IV. The event is being broadcast on April 28th and the former lightweight champion has been matched with UFC veteran Sage Northcutt.
