John Lineker knows that he hits hard. He has proven it time and time again during his 47 fights as a professional.

Opponents know it too and he fully expects Stephen Loman to try and take him down at ONE Fight Night 14 this weekend,

โ€œI believe that Loman will also try to put me down because he knows that I have heavy hands and knockout power. So, I believe he wonโ€™t want to risk it.โ€

Valuable experienceย

Last time out Lineker went up against an opponent who was earning a reputation for being heavy handed. But Kim Jae Woong just wanted to wrestle and the Brazilian thinks that is the blueprint for anyone facing him,

โ€œWhen I faced Kim Jae Woong, I thought the fight would be fought standing up, just striking, and he surprised me by putting me down. So, taking this fight against Kim Jae Woong as an experience, I need to be prepared for all situations that may happen in the fight.โ€

Loman has promised to go toe to toe with Lineker. But the Brazilian doubts where his upcoming opponent will live up to his words when the bell sounds in Singapore on Saturday,

โ€œI believe that Loman will also try to put me down because he knows that I have heavy hands and knockout power. So, I believe he wonโ€™t want to risk it.โ€

Quick turnaroundย

Lineker was able to finish Kim although it took him nearly 15 minutes to do it. Having emerged from that match unscathed the Brazilian was hoping for a fast turnaround and the ONE Championship matchmakers obliged,

โ€œThank God I had a good fight (and) I didnโ€™t get hurt, so I asked my manager to arrange a new fight soon. So this fight against Stephen Loman was scheduled.โ€

Lineker had a torrid time against Fabricio Andrade. But any suggestions that defeat might have signaled he was coming towards the end of his career were firmly put to bed with the win over Woong,

Lineker is very confident he will be able to repeat the trick when he faces Loman and plans to knock the Filipino out,

โ€œI have heavier hands and more dangerous boxing. Iโ€™m going to use my boxing and my knockout power to look for another knockout victory.โ€
