A catchweight contest has been added to the rapidly expanding Road FC 52 card. Shin Seung-Min will face Jung Sang-Jin at the Jangchung Arena on February 23rd with both men required to tip the scales at 64kgs.
Seung-Min (4-2) saw a four fight winning streak surprisingly snapped by Hyung Geun Park in his most recent fight. The 25 year old made his Road FC debut as an amateur and has bounced around between the bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight divisions during his four year career.
Sang-Jin (1-1) started competing in MMA relatively late in life. The 36 year old made his pro debut in 2016, winning that fight and then following it up with a couple of wins at amateur level last year.
He won the Road FC Central League featherweight tournament and was rewarded with a spot on the main card at Road FC 48. However he dropped a decision to in-form Kyrgyz bantamweight Bakhtiyar Toychubaev.
As previously announced the Road FC 52 card will be headlined by Shamil Zavurov and Mansour Barnaoui who face off in the final of the lightweight tournament with $1 million in prize money and a title shot on the line.
Road FC 52 will also feature a catchweight contest between Kim Seung-Yeon and Ki No-Joo while Bruno Miranda and Hong Young-Ki face off in a scrap between two of the promotion’s top lightweights.
The other fight added to the card this week pits Jang Ik-Hwan against Jang Dae-Young in a bantamweight bout.
