A heavyweight fight between Kang Ji-Won and Mikhail Jamal Abdul-Latif has been added to the ONE Fight Night 18 card. It is one of nine bouts confirmed for the event at Lumpinee Stadium on Saturday.

Kang (6-2) has three first round knockouts on his ONE Championship record. The Korean is one of the heaviest hitters in the division and will be looking to get back on track after a submission loss to Ben Tynan at ONE Fight Night 16.

Abul-Latif (3-0) has not fought since 2013. The Dutchman was scheduled to face Anderson Silva at ONE 159 last year but saw that bout fall through and has been out of action for over a decade.

Main event

Superlek Kiatmoo9 is now facing Takeru at ONE 165 later this month. He had been scheduled to face Elias Mahmoudi in a kickboxing title fight that headlined this card.

With Mahmoudi injured and Superlek having been called up to replace Rodtang Jitmuangnon the show needed a new main event. The featherweight fight between Shamil Gasanov and Oh Ho-Taek has now been bumped up to headline status.

Bantamweight bouts

Meanwhile Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg and Kwon Won Il will face off at Lumpinee Stadium on January 13th. The Korean saw his title prospects damaged by a stoppage loss at the hands of current champion Fabricio Andrade.

Zoltsetseg has been in some wild brawls but has yet to crack the top five at bantamweight. Meanwhile Gasanov will not be the only Russian on the card, Artem Belakh has been matched with Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu in another bantamweight bout.

Mark Abelardo, who has been on the roster since 2018, has been matched with debutant Ibragim Dauev at Lumpinee Stadium in a bantamweight bout that will open the show.
