Deep 93 is set for Tokyo on December 15th and will feature two title fights. In the main event Koji Takeda will put his lightweight belt on the line in a trilogy bout with Juri Ohara.

Takeda (9-1) beat Ohara by technical decision at Deep 92. The fight was stopped prematurely when the challenger was unable to continue due to a low blow, but only three of the five judges saw it in favour of the champion.

The two first met at Deep 85 last year with Takeda taking a unanimous decision win. He would go on to establish himself as the promotion’s lightweight champion before suffering the first defeat of his career at Rizin 15.

The co-headliner pits Roque Martinez (23-5-2) against Seigo Mizuguchi (14-17). The former will be defending his Deep openweight title for the second time.

The card also sees the return of Naoki Inoue (11-2). The UFC veteran has been booked to face Toshiaki Kitada (22-12-4) in a bantamweight bout at Ota Ward Gymnasium on December 15th.

Inoue made his name as a flyweight with Deep before signing with the UFC. However he is coming off a decision loss at CFFC 72 and hasn’t won a fight since 2017.
