One of the most experienced Asian fighters on the roster will be competing at UFC Saudi Arabia. Kyung Ho Kang has been matched with Muin Gafurov in Riyadh on June 22nd.

Kang (19-10) has been on the roster since 2013. The former Road FC bantamweight champion is coming off a loss to John Castañeda at UFC 295 last November.

Gafurov (18-6) also has a loss to Castañeda on his record. The ONE Championship and UAE Warriors veteran will be going in search of his maiden UFC win.

As previously announced Khamzat Chimaev is set to face Robert Whittaker in a middleweight matchup that headlines the postponed card. It has originally been set for March 23rd in Saudi Arabia.

Ten fights were booked and none of them featured fighters who fans would regard as being big names. Rumours started to circulate that the Saudi Arabian’s were unhappy with the calibre of the fight card although UFC president Dana White initially denied them.

The rescheduled event looks to have a much stronger fight card. Whittaker is a former middleweight champion while Chimaev was promised a title shot after beating Kamara Usman at UFC 294 last year.
