Maheshate will be back in action on May 20th. The Chinese lightweight has been booked to face Viacheslav Borshchev on a card which doesn’t currently have a date or a location.
Maheshate (9-2) made a big impression on his promotional debut. He knocked out Steve Garcia at UFC Singapore to introduce himself to the fans in style and earn a $50,000 USD performance bonus.
But he couldn’t replicate that performance on his sophomore octagon outing. The 23 year old dropped a decision to Rafa Garcia at UFC Vegas 66.
His third UFC fight will be against Borshchev (6-3). The Russian is one of the least experienced fighters on the roster and is coming off back to back decision losses.
PERFECT RIGHT HAND PUT HIM OUT 😱

Best of the rest
The card doesn’t currently have a name of a confirmed location, although it is likely to take place at the Apex Center in Las Vegas. The headliner looks likely to be a middleweight bout pitting Edmen Shahbazyan against Anthony Hernandez.
Shahbazyan (12-3) is coming off a bonus winning performance at UFC 282. He was handed $50,000 USD after stopping Dalcha Lungiambula with a flying knee in the second round.
Hernandez (10-2) is riding a four fight winning streak. He was out of action for an entire year after seeing four separate bouts fall through for different reasons.
In total he has won four fights out of six since signing for the UFC after impressing on Dana White’s Contender Series. Both men will be looking to earn a spot in the top 15 at middleweight with a win here.
