Manny Pacquiao has beaten some of the best boxers of the century. The Filipino has overcome the likes of Oscar de la Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Erik Morales and Ricky Hatton.

Now Pacquiao, who is running to be president of the Philippines, faces his toughest opponent yet. In a far reaching interview with Vice he declared his intention to KO corruption,

“I’m serving the people, not my friends. So if you have an issue of corruption I will send you to jail,” he stated boldly.

Pacquiao made millions during his boxing career and is a well known philanthropist. While he has been giving back to the people in the Philippines the boxer accuses his political rivals of stealing from them,

“I’ve been helping people since 2002 until now and there are so many people suffering and starving. What I saw in the government is these politicians, most of them are corrupt. They’re stealing money from the government, stealing money from the people,” he told Vice.

It is fighting talk from the 42 year old, who retired from professional boxing earlier this year. Will it be enough to land him the presidency?
