Manny Paquiao really has retired! After announcing his retirement on a talk show only for his management to issue a furious denial the multiple time boxing world champion really has decided to call it quits.
He made the announcement formal with an emotional video posted on his Facebook account:
Now that Manny has retired we imagine he will be taking it easy and enjoying the quiet life. Oh no that’s right he is running to be president of the Philippines, so life isn’t about to get any easier for the 42 year old!
Manny has had to deal with his fair share of low blows during a career that saw him clash with the likes of Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Márquez, Érik Morales, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather.
But what sort of dirty tricks will his political rivals play as they face off for the right to rule the country? It could be a turbulent few months for Manny.
