Mariano Jones is into transsexuals and he doesn’t care who knows it. The Costa Rican told reporters he will be proudly representing the LGBTQ+ community at URCC 84 this weekend.
At the press conference he was open about his interest in transsexuals telling reporters,
“I f**k hot trans. So what?”
No labels
He is coming off a win over Gester Maglaque at URCC 81. It was Jones’s pro debut and the open minded South American appears to be based permanently in Manila.
The welterweight trains out of Catalan Fighting Systems. He described himself as bisexual in quotes carried by Manila Standard Today this week,
“I don’t really put labels on myself or others, but since I am into trans, I would probably fall in the B part of the LGBTQ since I also like girls. I just live my life and do what I want without caring what others think about me,” he said.
Different values
The welterweight faces experienced Filipino Alvin Chan in what will be just his second pro fight. He hopes to be an inspiration for the entire LGBTQ+ community,
“I hope this fight will show all the LGBTQ members not to be afraid to be themselves as they pursue their dreams in whatever field or profession they choose without the fear of being judged,” he said.
It seems his opponent does not share Jones’ open minded attitude and the bout has been billed as a clash between two fighters with opposing values and beliefs. But Jones wants to make it clear that his penchant for transsexual partners will have no bearing on his performance,
“Sexuality and performance have nothing to do with each other. I dedicated this fight to them (the LGBTQ+ community).”
