Masakazu Imanari returns at ONE: ‘Eternal Glory’
ONE: ‘Eternal Glory’ is set for Jakarta on January 19th and eight bouts were added to the card today, including the return of Japanese veteran Masakazu Imanari. As previously announced the event will be headlined by a strawweight title rematch between champion Joshua Pacio and challenger Hayato Suzuki.
Imanari (37-18-2) is campaigning at featherweight these days and coming off a quickfire submission win over Radeem Rahman. The 42 year old will be looking to register back to back ONE Championship wins for the first time when he faces Ahmad Qais Jasoor (5-1).
The card also features local star Stefer Rahardian (8-2). The strawweight is coming off consecutive defeats but revenge will be on the agenda when he faces Robin Catalan (8-4) whose older brother was the first fighter to ever beat the Indonesian.
Indonesian atomweight Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol (5-3) will be looking to secure her third consecutive ONE Championship win. She’s been matched with India’s Pua Tomar (3-3) who has been submitted in both her ONE Championship bouts to date.
Kharun Atlangeriev (11-1) will be looking to rebound after a disappointing defeat and performance on his ONE Championship debut. The Russian lightweight dropped a decision to Eduard Folayang and has been matched with Koji Ando (12-7-2), a former title challenger who has not won a fight since 2015.
The card at Istora Senayan will feature kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA bouts. ONE: ‘Eternal Glory’ is the first of 24 events on the ONE Championship schedule for 2019.
