Shooto 1123 is set for the Korakuen Hall on November 23rd. Five fights have been confirmed for the card including a catchweight contest between Megumi Sugimoto and Satomi Takano.
Sugimoto (5-2) challenged unsuccessfully for the promotion’s super atomweight title at Shooto 0801. She dropped a decision to Mina Kurobe and will be moving up slightly in weight for this catchweight contest which is set for 51kgs.
Takano (13-12) is coming off a decision loss to So Yul Kim at ONE Warrior Series. She’s been competing as a professional since 2012 and has been in with the likes of Kurobe, Tomo Maesawa, Emi Tomimatsu and Mei Yamaguchi.
The card will also feature a flyweight fight between seasoned veteran Kiyotaka Shimizu (25-15-3) and undefeated prospect Tatsuro Taira (6-0). In the featherweight division Yoshizumi Kobayashi (2-3-5) faces Takahiro Ichijo (7-9) and Keita Ishibashi (9-8-2) takes on Akuri Ronda (5-3-1).
