Mizuki Inoue will be returning after a three year injury enforced absence. She is going to be taking on Hannah Goldy in a strawweight fight at UFC Vegas 79 on September 23rd.
Inoue (14-6) is coming off a decision loss to Amanda Lemos at UFC Vegas 7. A few months after that fight she underwent knee surgery to repair a damaged anterior cruciate ligament.
The fight with Lemos was at flyweight with Inoue having moved up a division after missing weight on her UFC debut. But Inoue will be returning to 115lbs for her third appearance in the octagon.
Goldy (6-3) earned her spot on the roster after impressing with Dana White’s Contender Series. She has won two out of her four UFC fights.
The American was last seen in action at UFC London last year. She was on the receiving end of a highlight reel knockout from Molly McCann and has spent a year on the sidelines.
