Paddy Pimblett is training in Phuket. The UFC star appears to be on holiday in Thailand with his fiancee and stopped by Bang Tao Muay Thai for a session.

Pimblett won three fights out of three in 2022 and is on a six bout winning streak dating all the way back to 2018. The charismatic Englishman has acquired a big fan following in the process and helped to put his hometown of Liverpool on the global MMA map.

The likes of Alex Volkanovski and Weili Zhang have also spent time training at Bang Tao Muay Thai and Pimblett is the latest UFC star to spend time at the camp:

It doesn’t look like Pimblett is on a training trip though. He has shared several photos of himself on holiday in Thailand with his fiancee while engaging in some traditional tourist activities.

He has shared photos of the pair of the by the beach in Koh Phi Phi and Koh Yao Yai. They even visited Bangla Stadium in Phuket to take in some Muay Thai fights.

It sounds like Pimblett just dropped by Bang Tao Muay Thai for a single session with the camp writing,

It was awesome to see Paddy enjoying one of our Muay Thai sessions with the team today.

Fellow fighters

Pimblett is clearly a ONE Championship fan. Or at least he is a fan of Liam Harrison and was effusive about his fellow Englishman’s win over Muangthai PKSaenchaigym last year.

His fellow Liverpudlian Darren Till has also spent a lot of time training in Phuket and used Tiger Muay Thai as a base for his most recent fight. It doesn’t sounds as if Pimblett is planning to base himself on the island on a long term basis.

But he is the latest in a long line of UFC stars to spend time training at Bang Tao Muay Thai. The camp only opened its doors last year but has already attracted some of the biggest names in the sport.
