Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling will finally rematch in a bantamweight unification bout at UFC 273. The event is set for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 5th.

Sterling (20-3) is the regular champion while Yan (16-2) holds the interim belt. The two men have history, in the first fight at UFC 259 the Russian was disqualified after landing an illegal knee in the fourth round.

Sterling has been out of action ever since after undergoing neck surgery. Yan would go on to win the interim 135lbs title by beating Cory Sandhagen at UFC 267.

Yan is currently at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket preparing for this contest. This is the first time he has been able to do a fight camp in Phuket since the start of the pandemic.

As previously announced Xiaonan Yan will be looking to bounce back from her first ever UFC defeat when she faces Marina Rodriguez next year at UFC 272. The former is ranked #11 at strawweight while the latter is #9.
