Prajanchai PKSaenchaigym stopped Sam-A Gaiyanghadao in the main event of the star studded ONE Friday Fights 22 postlims. The victory earned him the interim strawweight title.

Prajanchai landed a sharp inside low kick at the start of the fight. He had already beaten Sam-A on a ONE Championship card, claiming a decision win in 2021.

The referee warned both men for inactivity and they exchanged body kicks. Sam-A clearly wanted to counter strike but Prajanchay was finding a home for his right body kick.

They traded kicks at the start of the second round. With 90 seconds gone Prajanchai dropped Sam-A with a straight left hand. he beat the count but was immediately subjected to a barrage of punches and elbows which left him faceplanted on the Lumpinee ring.

The referee started to count but soon realized that Sam-A was not going to recover in time. The finish came at the 2:10 mark and sees Prahanchai crowned as the interim strawweight Muay Thai champion.

Best of the rest

Another reigning ONE Championship title holder was on the card although Superlek Kiatmoo9’s flyweight Muay Thai title was not on the line. He faced the much taller Nabil Anane who was making his promotional debut.

Anane is 6’2″ and towered over Superlek. But the experienced That targeted the body, and when his opponent covered up in the corner behind a high guard in the second round he finished him with a straight right to the mid section.

Big fight

The biggest fight of the night had taken place earlier in the evening. Anatoly Malykhin completely dominated Arjan Bhullar, finishing the former champion in the third round to unify the ONE Championship heavyweight titles.
