Rodtang Jitmuangnon has Covid-19! The Thai fighter is definitely off the ONE: ‘First Strike’ card and there has to be a question as to whether he will be ready to fight Demetrious Johnson on December 5th.
The news broke on Twitter just now:
BREAKING: Rodtang has been removed from ONE: FIRST STRIKE after testing positive for COVID-19. ONE Championship will provide an update tonight at ONE: REVOLUTION. #ONERevolution #ONEFirstStrike #WeAreONE #ONEChampionship pic.twitter.com/SEGPI53ZzA

ONE: ‘First Strike’ is set for October 15th and the promotion has confirmed that Rodtang will definitely not be on that card. It is set for Singapore in three weeks time so there is no way he will be able to recover and return a positive test in that timeframe.
There are ten more weeks until ONE: ‘X’. Rodtang is scheduled to take on Demetrious Johnson in a mixed rules bout with alternating rounds of Muay Thai and MMA.
If Rodtang is symptomless he should have no problem recovering in time to face DJ. If he has a severe bout of Covid-19 the Thai star could be out of action for a bit longer.
ONE Championship will make an announcement tonight and fans will be hoping Rodtang is able to recover in time for December’s mega fight.
