Sage Northcutt might not have fought since 2019 when he was brutally knocked out but you don’t need to worry about him. The UFC veteran will be making his comeback in May and it sounds like life is great.
Northcutt might have been out of action for over three years but he definitely isn’t feeling down. The American couldn’t be happier with either his personal or professional life.
Let’s start with the latter. He is now a member of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento and Northcutt is very happy there,
“I’m with a great team, great coaches. Urijah Faber and all the coaches at Team Alpha Male are awesome, so I’m just improving everything.”

Devastating loss
He faces Ahmed Mujtaba at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5th. We haven’t seen Northcutt in action since his devastating knockout loss at the hands of Cosmo Alexandre but he says he has made some big improvements,
“I feel like I’ve improved in a lot of different areas. I’m looking forward to showing it.”
Northcutt made his ONE Championship debut as a welterweight. he will be dropping back down to lightweight for this fight and is at a camp which is renowned for producing elite fighters in the lower weight classes,
“All I can say is I’m surrounded with an incredible team at Team Alpha Male, some of the best fighters around. It’s great in all aspects, great wrestlers, great grapplers, great strikers, along with great coaches. I’m stepping into the gym every single day. It’s like a fight every day.”
Things are not just going great in Northcutt’s professional life. Since we last saw him compete he has tied the knot with his long term partner and it sounds like his personal life is going oretty well too,
“My wife, she’s amazing. She’s a voiceover artist, she does voiceovers for all sorts of cartoons and different TV shows on Netflix. I can brag about her all day. She’s an actress too, a great actress. Super talented.”

Positive outlook
This will be Northcutt’s first time competing as a married man and he says married life is ‘awesome’,
“Having someone that’s there to support you and that’s what you look for, that’s what you want. That’s always a great feeling for one thing, just having someone. If you can have someone that’s on the same page as you, that’s awesome, too.”
Northcutt always has a positive outlook but suffering eight separate facial fractures would be enough to ruin the outlook of most men. That is what happened to the 26 year old last time he stepped into the cage.
Northcutt will be anxious to avoid a repeat when he fights in Colorado on May 5th. Life might be going great, but there would be nothing like securing a first win since 2018 to make it better.
