Hong Kong’s Sasha Palatnikov has been released by the UFC. The Hong Kong lightweight is among several fighters whose names were removed from the roster this week.

His career could not have got off to a better start. The 32 year old knocked out Louis Cosce on his promotional debut at UFC 255, earning a $50,000 bonus for his efforts.

But Palatnikov has not tasted victory since. His final two UFC fights saw him submitted by Ramiz Brahimaj and Impa Kasanganay with both losses coming courtesy of a rear naked choke.

He was the first and only fighter from Hong Kong to ever compete inside the octagon. Palatnikov leaves the UFC with a record of 6-4 and it will be interesting to see what comes next for the 32 year old.

Also removed from the roster this week was Hu Yaozong. He lost three fights out of three and failed a drug test, he leaves the UFC with a record of 3-3.
