Shahzaib Rindh has no margin for error when making his MMA debut at Gamebred 5 in Jacksonville. Fighters on Jorge Masvidal’s promotion always compete bare knuckle meaning that one mistake can be costly.
But the Pakistani was always odds on to win against a journeyman opponent and he did just that. Rindh had a significant size advantage against Carlos Guerra and looked to switch stance right from the get go at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
Switching to southpaw allowed him to land a hard left body kick and when his opponent tried to answer with one of his own the Pakistani caught it and took Guerra down. Rindh might have been making his MMA debut but he looked supremely confident.

Wild celebrations
Guerra looked to secure a leg lock but Rindh powered out and started to unload punches. The American got to his feet but ate a couple of knees with the referee taking a close look at the action.
Rindh ate some huge knees from the clinch and Guerra looked to counter with a takedown. He was backed against the cage and eating punches.
Guerra dropped to the ground and covered up. The ending was inevitable and the referee stepped in to save him at the 2:40 mark sparking wild celebrations from the Pakistani.
With the win Rindh improves to 1-0 and having made something of a name for himself competing on Karate Combat it will be interesting to see whether he now pursues MMA instead. Guerra drops to 3-8 and has now lost seven in a row.
