Su Mudaerji will be back in action at UFC Fight Island 8. The Chinese flyweight has been selected as a replacement for Jeff Molina and faces Zarrukh Adashev in Abu Dhabi on January 20th.
Mudaerji (13-4) is coming off back to back wins. He scored a ‘knockout of the year’ contender in his most recent outing, finishing Malcolm Gordon with strikes in under a minute.
Adashev (3-2) was signed by the UFC after putting together three straight wins on Bellator cards. He was knocked out in just over 30 seconds by Tyson Nam on his promotional debut.
The card will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Michael Chiesa (17-4) and Neil Magny (24-8). It is set for the Etihad Arena and will be one of three cards to take place in this venue during January.
