Sato holds a record of 16-4 but is coming off a submission loss to Miguel Baeza at UFC Vegas 15. In the Tweet he states that he has a ’12 month fight camp’ and is ‘always ready’.
Nelson’s tally stands at 17-5-1 and he hails from Iceland but is based in London. His original opponent, Claudio Silva, pulled out of the fight after suffering an injury.
This will be Sato’s first fight in over a year, he did not compete at all in 2021. The Sanford MMA representative has alternated between wins and losses since signing with the UFC and will be looking to continue that pattern in London this month.
