Anatoly Malykhin has signed with ONE Championship. The undefeated Russian heavyweight’s management took to Instagram to break the news yesterday:

Malykhin holds a 7-0 record. The 31 year old’s wins have all come by way of stoppage and he has beaten some experienced heavyweights.

Malykhin holds a win over Jake Heun. He needed just 105 seconds to finish that fight with a keylock. The American would go on to win three fights out of three for Rizin.

ONE Championship’s heavyweight division has been in hiatus with champion Brandon Vera having made just two title defences since being crowned champion in 2015.

Vera is coming off a second round stoppage loss to Aung La Nsang in a light heavyweight title fight at ONE: ‘Century’, just a few days after his 42nd birthday.

The division is in need of new blood and Malykhin looks set to be an immediate title contender. He had been heavily linked with the PFL but according to his management the deal with ONE Championship is ‘exclusive.’
