Was this Yi Long fight fake?
Yi Long returned to the ring after a three year absence and scored a KO over Ayoub Faiz on a WLF card. Not everyone was convinced by the finish from the ‘Shaolin Monk’.
Several fans took two Twitter to question the legitimacy of the KO:
Nothing suspicious going on here. ????

The kick rendered the Moroccan completely unconscious. The only problem was that it appeared to land squarely on his right glove which made his inability to recover from it quite surprising.
In 2017 People’s Daily, the government owned newspaper in China, acknowledged that the combat sport scene in the country had become synonymous with fights fixing. The feature stated that fights were often fixed to allow a local fighter to beat a foreigner.
Yi Long got a mention in the article and judging from this footage the issue hasn’t gone away!
