New opponent, new rules, same date. It’s all change for Wondergirl Jaroonsakgym who found out earlier this week that she would now be fighting Martyna Kierczynska at ONE Fight Night 19 this Saturday.
Wondergirl had originally been booked to face Dayane Cardoso in a mixed rules fight. It was set to be a four rounder which alternated between MMA and Muay Thai rules.
Cardoso withdrew from that contest for undisclosed reasons. In her place steps Kierczynska but the fight will now be a strawweight Muay Thai bout.
The bad news for Wondergirl is that the time she has spent preparing for the MMA rounds has gone to waste. The good news is that she was ready to fight Muay Thai for two rounds.

More conventional
Wondergirl’s last fight was a modified rules boxing match against Xiong Jing Nan. She lost that, although the Chinese fighter should probably have been penalized for landing numerous shots to the back of the head.
Her next fight will be more conventional with Wondergirl and Kierczynska set for a standard three round Muay Thai match. Her ability to switch between various rulesets is impressive, but recent results have not been so good for the Thai.
She has lost her last two fights and will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Bantamweight title
There will now be seven Muay Thai fights on the card with just two MMA matches. The event is set for Lumpinee Stadium and Jonathan Haggerty is headlining.
The Englishman has never lost a fight at this venue and will be looking to continue that run when he defends his bantamweight belt against Felipe Lobo. The Brazilian has been living and training in Thailand since 2018.
In the co-main event former Lobo victim Saemapetch Fairtex has been matched with Mohamed Younes Rabah in a rematch. There is also a lightweight bout between Liam Nolan and Nauzet Trujillo on the card.
