Xiaonan Yan will be looking to bounce back from her first ever UFC defeat when she faces Marina Rodriguez next year. The Chinese fighter’s management broke the news on Twitter this morning:

Xiaonan (13-2) is currently ranked at #11 and saw her title dreams dashed by a defeat to Carla Esparza at UFC Fight Night. It was her first loss since 2010 and the first time she had failed to win a UFC fight.

At UFC 272 she takes on Rodriguez (15-1-2). The Brazilian is ranked at #9 and has won her last three although her most recent defeat also came at the hands of Esparza.

UFC 272 is set for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 5th. The event does not currently have a main event but it will be only the second time Xiaonan has fought on a PPV card.
