Yan Xiaonan will go in search of her fifth straight UFC win on February 23rd. The Chinese fighter has been booked to face Karolina Kowalkiewicz in Auckland.
Xiaonan (11-1) is coming off a decision win over Angela Hill at UFC 238. All four of her bouts for the promotion have gone the distance and the 30 year old has had her hand raised on every occasion.
By contrast Kowalkiewicz (12-5) has seen her stock fall after a three fight losing skid. She was also last seen in action at UFC 238 where she dropped a decision to Alexa Grasso, a defeat that saw the former strawweight title challenger drop to #14 in the rankings.
The strawweight title is currently the property of Xiaonan’s compatriot Weili Zhang. She claimed the belt with a sensational stoppage win over Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen last month.
As previously announced UFC Auckland is set for the Spark Arena and will be headlined by a lightweight bout pitting local favourite Dan Hooker against Paul Felder.
