Two experienced former champions have been added to the Shooto 30th Anniversary Tour in Osaka card. Yoshiro Maeda and Motonobu Tezuka will both be in action on June 30th.

UFC veteran Tezuka has been matched with Tomohiro Hagino in the bantamweight division. Meanwhile Maeda takes on Koki Naito in a flyweight fight.

Tezuka (31-13-7) will be making his Shooto debut but has fought for numerous other promotions during his 14 year professional career including the UFC, Pancrase, Deep and VTJ.

The 31 year old has held 135lbs titles with Heat and Grachan. By contrast Hagino (11-6) has spent his entire career competing for Shooto and is riding a four fight winning streak.

Maeda (36-17-5) has fought for Pancrase, Pride, Dream and Deep and challenged for the WEC 135 lbs title in 2008. He’s a former Deep 135lbs champion and was last seen in action at Shooto 1/27.

He has been matched with Naito (7-4-3). The 29 year old has been in with some very experienced opponents and actually holds a 2016 win over Hagino.

As previously announced the card will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Toma Mitsuhiro and challenger Akira Takano. The winner of that bout can expect a contract offer from ONE Championship under the terms of the partnership with Shooto.

It also features a flyweight fight between Ryuya Fukuda and Seigo Kameshima.
