Ahmed Mujtaba is not afraid of Sage Northcutt. He faces the American at ONE Fight Night 10 in what will undoubtedly be the biggest fight of the Pakistani’s career.

But if he is intimidated by the prospect of facing the UFC veteran in his homeland he certainly isn’t letting it show. Mujtaba took to Instagram just now to declare that,

We fear no man or anything in this world except Allah, Surely The Creator and The King.

Highly confident

Mujtaba earned a shot at one of the biggest names on the roster by submitting a BJJ black belt. The 30 year old finished Abraão Amorim with a triangle choke at ONE 163.

Northcutt has never won a ONE Championship fight. He was beaten by Cosmo Alexandre on his promotional debut and suffered several facial fractures which would take him a long time to recover from.

His fight with Mujtaba at ONE Fight Night 10 will be his first since 2019. But while Northcutt has been out of action for a long time the Pakistani has fought fairly regularly, finishing two opponents in the past two years.

Clash of cultures

Their fight at ONE Fight Night 10 looks set to be a clash of cultures as well as an intriguing bout between two lightweights with a point to prove. Mujtaba was unhappy not to pick up a performance bonus after his most recent win.

The Pakistani has been rewarded with a high profile bout against an opponent who made his name fighting for the UFC. People might have missed his submission win over Amorim which took place on a card which was not broadcast by Amazon Prime.

But all eyes will be on ONE Fight Night 10 which is being shown live by the popular streaming platform. It is also the promotion’s American debut so there will be a lot of eyes on the local fighters with Northcutt one of the most prominent.

In the main event Demetrious Johnson is defending his flyweight belt against Adriano Moraes. Mujtaba will be among the fighters hoping to make it a night to forget for Team America.
